Happy Autumn

When I was looking at a friends blog I saw this adorable card.   The card was so cute that I wanted to make one that would be similar.  If you take a look at Paula’s blog you will see all of her amazing cards.   The Tilda image that she used was one I didn’t have (had the mini) so off the computer I went in search of Scarecrow Tilda.

Isn’t she adorable and to think I really didn’t care for her when she first came out – silly me.   I’m not in to Halloween but I do love autumn and all the beautiful colors.

I used several different punches for the leaves then got out my stylist and went to work making the veins in each leaf.  I then went to my Marianne dies and found these acorns.  Once they were cut out I used my Copic markers and colored the tops darker.

I had just bought this new Cheery Lynn die and just had to use it.  It cuts out beautiful but on the brown paper it just didn’t show up like I wanted it to.  I decided to cut it out again, then I used the cut outs and glued them in the open spaces (couldn’t find the first ones I cut out).  Once that was done I was happy with the look.

This picture doesn’t show up very good, just couldn’t get the light right.   I was in search of some fall paper and couldn’t find any in the papers I had so I went to Nitwit papers and found this paper.  I then added some larger leaves from Marianne dies to finish it off.   I then realize I didn’t have any kind of sentiment, when I found this little Happy Autumn one I stamped it and tucked it behind the Tilda image.   Now it’s finished.
I doesn’t compare to Paula’s but I’m happy with it.
Thanks for stopping by I don’t have many followers so the few comments I get are very precious to me.   Hope the rest of your weekend is great.

Sweet Dreams

I got a phone call the other day inviting me to a baby shower and my first thought was what a perfect time to use Baby Tilda.  Once I had decided you use this stamp it was time to try and come up with a design.   The baby girl was about 4 weeks old which made it easy to go pink.

When I got to the shower this precious little baby girl was there and I got to hold her.  She was so dainty with the cutest turned up nose.  Here’s a close up of the WOC flowers I used on the card.

Now it was time to figure out what to put inside the card.  Wanted to say something a little different and make a statement at the same time.  So this is what I ended up using.

I just happened to have a baby afghan that I had made that was pink, green and white so everything went together just great.
May you have a blessed week and thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to stop by my blog.  Hope to see you again.

Ahoy!

This card was made for my oldest granddaughter.  Her husband will graduate next year as a dentist for the Navy so I just couldn’t resist using this adorable Tilda.    My granddaughter will graduate next year also as a attorney so they both have their careers all lined up.
P1000933My friend Janie came by one day and brought this wonderful die and I can’t remember for the life of me what die company it was, but isn’t it pretty against the dark blue.  She also gave me this stand to put my cards on when I take pictures of them.  She’s such a great friend!

Here’s a close up of Tilda Offshore, just love her and she was just perfect for this card.

Just had to use red, white an blue flowers on this card to finish it off.
Thank you for stopping by my blog, hope you enjoyed your visit.
