Happy Birthday Claudia

The card I’m posting today is for the lady that owns the quilt shop that I work part-time at.  She is a very lovely person and a joy to work for.

Besides being a wonderful quilter she’s also an avid gardener so I thought this would be the perfect card for her.

Here’s another look……..

One more..

Now I will share what I made for her and no it’s not a quilt or a purse.

I got some vinyl out and along with my Cameo decided to make her something with her name on it….

First I had to make a trip to our Lowe’s store where I purchased 2 different sized glass blocks…..then I decided to use the smaller one and this is what I came up with.   I added some wide ribbon and a few flowers and I was done!

Now I needed a gift bag but didn’t want to go to town and buy one so I started my search for something I had here.  I found the perfect size but it had a business name on it.   I cut out 2 solid blue squares from my card stock then went to my Cameo and found a Happy Birthday in my library resized it, cut it out and this is what I ended up with.

I really had fun doing all of this so I just might have to do it again.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your week has been a good one and you are looking forward to the week-end.

A Birthday Wish for Janie

Today I’m going to share with you a card I made for my very good friend Janie for her birthday the end of February.

P1020447

I had fun making this card for her because it fits her to a T.  When she makes her trips over to Idaho she is always building something, bird houses, planters or what ever comes to mind to build.

I was going through some of my old SU stamps and ran across this perfect tool box and decided it should go on her card.

She loves flowers so I had to put an array of flowers to her card.

One last look.

I had made her a purse last  year for her birthday which was made out of pastels so thought I’d make her one just a little brighter.  That way she could change purses when ever she wanted to.

Thanks for stopping by my blog…..love it when you leave a comment.
