Tractor Man

Well here I am again this time it’s our son’s birthday.  At first I couldn’t figure out what to do for him but soon decided to use this tractor once again.  After talking to him the other day he started telling us of the tractor he had just bought so what less could I do but put a tractor on his card.
P1020158

He is a boat captain on a very large boat so when he decided to try his hand at a garden (in Florida) but seemed to have a fight on his hands with all the bugs we thought it was kind of funny.  Then when he said he’d bought a tractor we were amazed!   Come to find out he plans on using it on his hunting lease…….that makes more sense.
I found the cornstalk die in Die-namics and just had to use it on his card.
I hadn’t planned on the clouds but when I was gluing one of the cornstalks it fell so I had glue where it shouldn’t have been.   My only options was put some clouds on the card.

Thought I’d share a couple of my latest projects with you.   This is a tote which I’ve made quite a few of but this time I used a product in it that I use in the purses I make and love how it made the tote look.
P1020139
This is my latest purse which is a really fun and happy one….perfect for summer and boy have we been having a HOT summer.  Today it’s finally back in the upper 80’s.

Here’s a couple of pictures of some of my flowers.   I will take a new picture this afternoon when the sun is behind the house so you can see how they have changed….will post it at a later date.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and my your have a blessed week!

Happy, Happy Anniversary

The 23rd is our 52nd anniversary so I needed to make my husband an anniversary card and was having a hard time trying to come up with something.   Then it hit me…..he just got back from a hike in the mountains close to our house so what better to use but Edwin hiking.

P1020153

I also used the background that goes with Edwin.  Since it was a guy card I didn’t want to put a lot of fussy flowers on it so used one Sunflower from WOC and added a little greenery.

Tomorrow we are off to meet my brother and sister-in-law at a quaint little town where I plan on buying a lot of fabric for a quilt I am planning on making…..oh what fun!!

Once we get home it’ll be time to help celebrate our son-n-laws birthday….poor fella he has to share the day with us….every year.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your week has started off great.   With the arrival of the royal baby I’m sure everyone in the UK is celebrating!

A Granddaughter’s Birthday

I made this card for my youngest granddaughter who will be turning 18 on the 26th.  She is a very special young lady but it also makes me sad know she is growing up…..the time goes by so quickly.
P1020141
I once again decided to use a Wee stamp instead of my favorite Tilda’s so here you have it.  I colored her with my copic’s then cut her out with a Spellbinder die.  As I’m sure you’ve noticed I used purple and lavender to make this card.  My good friend Janie let me come over and cut out some fishtail tags which I used for the sentiment.
P1020143

P1020142
Most of the flowers are from WOC however I did use a Martha Steward punch for the one flower.
P1020145
I don’t know if you can tell or not but I added a Swarovski crystal to the center of the bow.

Thanks for stopping by in your buy schedule.

This was an after thought.......here is a picture of the quilt I made for my granddaughter and her new husband.  This granddaughter is the sister to the granddaughter that I just made the card for.  There was too much light coming through the window so the picture didn't turn out very good,

A Special Happy Birthday

I made this card for my son-in-law who’s birthday is the same day as our anniversary which means I need to get busy and make another card.  My son-in-law is a hunter so I just couldn’t resist making this card.

P1020132

As you can see I used this adorable Miss Muu Muu along with the barb wire background.   He hunts elk during bow season and gun season and we always hope to get a cow tag so we don’t have to kill a bull.  That’s why the sentiment……just had to do it.

P1020133

Isn’t she just the cutest thing.   I embroidered a shirt for him and as you can see it has a bull elk on it.

P1020134

Here’s a closer look at the design.

P1020135

I also promised some pictures of the wedding……it was his daughter that got married.

P1020088

There are a few pictures of the wedding which was beautiful and the weather was perfect.  If you noticed the arch in some of the pictures my husband made it for Megin and it now lives in our yard with grape vines planted on either side.  Megin said NO one else was to get married under her arch.

Thanks for stopping by and my you have a blessed week.

A Happy Birthday

I made this card for my granddaughter who is turning 20 on Wednesday, it’s hard to believe how fast they grow up.  I have two married, two more out of college, two still in college (one is married), one working in the oil fields in North Dakota and one that will be starting college in the fall.  So sad not to have any little ones…….now I will have to wait for the great grandchildren.

P1020110

As you can see I ventured out of my comfort zone and used one the those sweet Wee stamps.   Isn’t she jus the cutest thing!  I also got some new Cheery Lynn dies and tried my hand at a couple of the flowers.  I also got the cute little set of tags so had to use some of them.

P1020111

Here’s the other flower.  Really had fun making them.

P1020112

This picture didn’t turn out very good.

A quick look at the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and hoping you have a great 4th of July!

Wedding Day!

Our granddaughter’s big day is tomorrow and the Lord has been good to us by granting us a sunny day!!  I hope to add pictures of the wedding at a later date.  The theme is country with a rustic look as well and her colors are eggplant and tan.   We made the invitations so I used some of the left over paper to make their card.
P1020073
I used some dies that I have but for the life of me I can’t remember what they are but I really like the look.   The sentiment is from a Wedding group from Fiskars and this says it all.
P1020077
The flowers are all from WOC and the leaves are from a MS punch.
P1020080
I used some beautiful silk ribbon to make the bow then I added a glittery bad in the center.
P1020076
This is a look at the inside and as you can see I picked another sentiment from the Wedding group  of Fiskars.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and if you leave a comment that will put the icing in the cake for me.  Now off to help with more preparations for the wedding.

Graduation Day!

This is a card I want to share with you as I made it for my youngest granddaughter for her graduation from high school.   She was a tennis star all through high school and it’s hard to believe we won’t be going to anymore tennis matches.  To top off her senior year she and her doubles partner went undefeated to the state tournament and remained undefeated taking the state championship.  Needless to say we were so proud of them both.

P1020061

I’m sure you can’t tell it but the paper is a glittery paisley print done in blues which were her school’s colors.   This little Tilda cutie has helped me with a lot of cards, now she will have to wait till they start graduating from college.  Which the way times goes by won’t be long at all.
P1020063

I love arranging flowers on my cards a long with bows, making girls cards is so much easier than making boys cards.
P1020062
Here’s a look at the inside and this says it all.   Now I’m making a card for her sister who will be getting married in just eleven days.   My they grow up way too fast.
Thanks for stopping by and may you have a blessed week!

Congratulations!

Well it’s graduation time once again so I made this card for my granddaughter’s boyfriend.   This very, very nice young man is quite the avid bow hunter so I decided that only fitting thing was to make his cap and gown out of Camo.   I asked my very good friend Janie to take on the mission of finding me some camo paper.   I knew when I asked her that she would come through for me and she did!
P1020067
As you can see I just had to add some Elk antlers to dress up the card a bit more…….thank goodness for my Circuit cartridges.
P1020059
Just a quick look at the inside of the card.    Now I’m off to finish my granddaughter’s card.
Thanks for stopping by!   May you have a blessed week-end!

A Birthday Wish

This card I made for my son-in-law for his 50th (the big one) birthday!  He manages a ranch where he grows alfalfa hay that is sold to customers who own horses.  This kind of work puts him on a tractor most of the summer months so I thought this would be the perfect card for him.

P1020052

I’m not sure he will appreciate it since he lives on one for at least four to five months.  So to top that off I found this fleece panel of a John Deer tractor so I just had to put it together and add that to his birthday gift.

P1020053

Now last but not least the thing that I had first and for most planned to give him for his birthday is this shirt that I embroidered for him.  So once again I’m not sure he will appreciate it but I thought it would be funny.  I’ll let you know what his response was……will be taking it to him this afternoon.

P1020054

P1020055

There you have it……..I really had more fun making these so we will see if my sense of humor went over well or not.

Thanks for stopping by and hoping you have a blessed week.

Buzzin By

Here is a card I made for my brother to help celebrate his birthday.  I wanted to do something totally different (not one Magnolia stamp) and this is what I came up with.  I colored the hive and the cute little bees a long with the flower on the sentiment with my Copic markers.

P1020047

I used the SU stamp Just Buzzin By to make this light and cheery card.  The flowers are from a Cheery Lynn die set called Build a Flower #1.  The sentiment was a Spellbinder die.

P1020038

P1020042

This was the first time using the new dies so I wasn’t real sure if I was doing it right.

P1020048

I used Tim Holtz Distressed Ink to add some color to the sentiment.

Just a quick thank you for stopping by.   I hope to post another card real soon and this one won’t have a Magnolia stamp on it either which is so unusual for me.
