St. Patrick's Day

As you can probably tell I made this card for St. Patrick's which is just around the corner.  Yes, here is another purple card so you will have the bare with me I couldn't do it all in green you know.

I must confess I colored this Tilda and the Stone wall sometime ago and put them away use another day, well today in another day so here they are.  I decided not to put any flowers on this card, thought they would take away from the shamrocks so you might think the card is a little plain.

I used my Cricut to cut out the shamrocks, I also used a Cheery Lynn Doily die a long with a regular paper doily that you can by at Michael's.  The sentiment is cut out using a Nestie die, the floral piece behind Tilda I did some stitching on just to give it another look, then I added the satin ribbon and bow plus some bling on the shamrocks.

Here is one of my many quilts. We had the opportunity to take a trip to Ireland and Scotland in 2010 so when I saw this fabric with shamrocks on it I had to get it and make a quilt to help us remember our marvelous trip.  It was a once in a life time for us and I don't ever want to forget it.  Both sides of our family are traced back to these two countries so it really made the trip special.  I had a friend do the quilting on it and she quilted shamrocks all over it, can't get much more Irish than that.
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to look at my new blog. May you have a blessed day and stop by again.

  2. Super cute card Ruth Ann, little Miss Tilda looks so sweet sitting on top of the rock wall. You couldn't have picked a better background image for her. Your shamrock quilt looks amazing & what a perfect time to show off another of your wonderful hobbies. I think you need to find a beautiful old rocking chair like Patty Chapman recently got to show off some of your gorgeous handi-work.
