A Birthday Wish

Wanted to share with you my latest card.   Seems like the only time I can find the time to make a card is when someone’s special occasion is coming up.  This card is for my sister-in-law who is also a quilter so I’m sure she will like it… least I hope so.

I just love this adorable Tilda image.   The striped background paper is from a NitWit collection but right now I couldn’t tell you which one.  I colored the image with my copic’s .  I then decided to cut her out to give the card some more dimension I then used some of my newer dies and cut out the white and  plum card stock.  When I got to the sentiment I was thrilled to discover that the smaller die worked perfect for the stamped sentiment.

Here’s another view…..

There is a homemade flower that I made quite some time ago using a Cheery Lynn flower die which I placed some bling in the  middle.  I have  a lot of new flower dies but haven’t had the time to really play with them.  I hope to use then on some of the cards I make in the future.

Now for the inside…..I must say my head was not in perfect working order the day I made this card.  After the card was all done I realized I really didn’t go the extra mile in decorating the inside.

Oh well I guess it will have to do.  Found this sentiment in some older clear stamps I have and decided it was the perfect one.

Now I will share a quilt I made for my other sister-in-law.   I really made two and let her choose which one she wanted and brought the other one home.

The pattern was a simple one but the colors brought it to life I think.  Now to figure out who will get this one.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by always love hearing from you.

                              hugs, Ruth Ann

  1. Ruth Ann you have been your gorgeous sewing Tilda card and your quilt is so beautiful the colours and design are stunning...

  2. Ruth Ann I don't know why I didn't get a notice that you had posted this sweet card ... Good thing I checked my blog or I might have missed it ... It's nice to see you are sure getting your money out of this little cutie but each one is colored so wonderfully & made different it your own personal way. I have one in my craft room that I get to admire every day. Love the frames you made around her & how the smaller one worked so well for the sentiment.
And that quilt is gorgeous... What a pretty & thoughtful gift. You put so much time & love into your creations & I hope others appreciate them as much as I do.
    hugs, Janie
