Brandon’s Card

Well here I am again and this time it’s card for my grandson who is turning 18.  I really have a hard time doing guy cards as you can’t get all frilly and use lots of flowers and things.   So this is my answer for a grandson that likes to hunt.    I used the SU moose stamp and then put my stamp-a-ma-jig to work by adding the cattails on either side.   Then I decided to add a sky and clouds so that meant I needed to mask the moose, once that was done out came the stipple brush and Bashful Blue SU ink pad.  Couldn’t put a pretty bow on it so got out the trusty raffia

As you can see it’s not a real exciting card but what else can you do for and 18 year old boy.

With this close up of the moose you can tell there really isn’t a whole lot you can do with it either.

Thought I’d share my latest quilt with you since it has a moose on it along with some other animals.  When I bought the fabric there wasn’t a pattern that went with it so this is my own design.

In this picture of the moose you can even see some of quilting that’s on it which are large pine cones.
This will be my last post for a while as I will be busy making a Memory Book for this same grandson who will graduating from high school.
To top all this off we are preparing to get things ready for the arrival of a litter of Australian Shepherd pups the middle of April.  Once they arrive I will be totally busy for weeks to come until we find wonderful homes for them.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my blog.  May you have a blessed week and please stop by again.

  1. Masculine cards are tough to make without getting them too "girly" looking but you did a great job on this one. Love the moose & how you used your stamp a ma jig to add the cat tails to your little scene. It looks great ! And how neat that you have a quilt that goes so well with the card theme. Brandon is going to love his card & wonderful memory book that you're making ... Sure hope I get to see it before you give it to him. I need some ideas for a Memory book for my granddaughter Ashley cuz it looks like she might be going to have that baby today.
