Happy 50th Birthday

Well, here I am again.   July, August and September are busy card making months for me.   This card was made for my son’s birthday, OMW if he’s that old what does that make me!

As you can see I’ve used three of the new Magnolia stamps, just couldn’t resist these for a card for my son.   He is truly an outdoors person so these fit the bill.

This is a close up of Edwin with gray hair…..at 50 he should have gray hair right.

Just had to give you a close up of this adorable Moose.

One more close up.   The clouds are a Memory Box die…..really like these clouds.

Well there you have it…..now I need to put on my thinking cap as I have a daughter whose birthday is coming up soon.

Here is a quilt that I made for our son, just got sent off in the mail.  As you will be able to see it's full of wildlife.

Thanks for taking the time to stop my blog.  Hope you are having a wonderful week-end.

Happy Anniversary 50 +1

Here is a card I made for my husband on our anniversary tomorrow.  I thought the couple was a cute image and it really fit the occasion.

The paper I used was from the Nitwit collection, and I love this rock path background stamp.

As you can see both have silver hair….what else would expect being married 51 years.

Thought I’d share my latest quilt which is an Irish Chain and this one will be on our bed instead of folded up somewhere.   This was my first attempt at an Irish Chain and I thought it turned out really well.
Thanks for stopping by and may you have a blessed week!

Fun in the Sun

This is a card I just finished for my granddaughter’s birthday that’s coming up the end of the month.  She and her mother went with us last year to Florida (we live in Montana) in March for our oldest granddaughter’s wedding.   This was her first taste of Florida and she thought Florida was the berries (if she only knew).   Once the Summer Memories came out I knew I had to use one of them for Sydnee’s card.

Once I had Flip-flop Tilda and the background stamp I knew I needed a palm tree so then the search began.   When I found the Hawaii Palm Tree I was thrilled so off to the shopping cart it went, once it was ordered it was shipped to me in record time.   Now I needed a shell or starfish or something to add to the card.   So out came Edwin in Miami, I printed the starfish, colored it and cut it out and it was perfect.

Isn’t she a doll!   My beautiful granddaughter loves flip flops and she has as much hair as this little Tilda.
P1000892
Here’s a view of this wonderful palm tree, I did have to cut down the sand  base to fit the card but that was to only thing I had to do.
P1000893
Last but not least here is the bottom of the card.   I used some gauze to look like nets and here is where you can see the star fish.   I popped Tilda, the palm tree and the star fish to give it more dimension.

I had more fun making this card so I hope you enjoy it also, thanks for stopping by.   Hope this is a great week for everyone.

Your Wedding Day

This card was for a sweet friend and her husband on their wedding day.  What a joy to see what God can do in bringing two people together.   She took care of her parents, and he lost his wife about six years ago.    Her husband is the pastor in a small town church, she had devoted her life to serving the Lord and sings like and angel.   This was truly a match made in heaven.

Her colors were purple (right up my alley), fuchsia and white so decided to use those same colors in their card.
P1000856
Here is a closer look at the bride and groom.
P1000857

Most of the flowers were from WOC but I did get one a Michael's in the wedding department.
P1000858
I found this sentiment after going through some of my SU collections
.
P1000859
This is the sentiment I placed inside and it says it all.  It's a Fiskar sentiment.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog.  May your week be filled with blessings.
