I’ve been putting off posting one of these cards but today decided what the heck I’ll just post them both. I always struggle with guy cards since they really don’t appreciate all the flowers and bows etc. So here goes..the first one I made for my grandson-in-law, he’s been going to school to get a degree so he can work for the Forest Service and he’s and avid hunter.
I cut the log cabin, trees and mountain with my Silhouette…OH I also cut out the happy birthday. I used my Copics to color Walter the Moose which I think he is so adorable.

Now for card number two. This one was just sent off in the mail to our grandson who is turning 20 on the 6th. His folks just got him a new Redbone Hound puppy.
I used some of my dies to cut out the trees, clouds and grass. Then I went in search for a tool I’d bought many years ago and hadn’t used in about the same length of time. Once I found it I cut out of two different colors of green giving the effect (I hope) of rolling country side. I then ran it through to give it a crinkle look. Now for the dog….while looking on the Silhouette Store I found this wonderful shape of a hound dog and of course I had to buy it and then cut it out. I used some of my Prisma pencils to shade it a little.

There you have it my two guys cards that I always stew over.
Now I thought I’d share one of my quilts that I’ve made for myself and plan on using it on our bed. I plan to enter it a a quilt show this summer.
It’s called Amish with a Twist II.

Holy cow my friend you certainly have sparked my creative juices this time with so many wonderful things. 1st of all I LOVE that beautiful quilt & know how many hours something like that takes to make, then your cards. Not one but TWO of them & both as wonderful as the next. What I love most is that you USED your Silhouette to make them. I was almost having 2nd thoughts about having one as mine just sits in it's box WAITING for me to do something with it. NOW you have inspired me & I know if I can't figure something out you will soon be close by to give me a hand & share your expert knowledge of that amazing new tool we both purchaced ...And digging out your papercrimper to make those rolling hills was a great thought & worked perfect ... And the hound dog !!! How sweet is she & I am so proud of you for adding those wonderful embellishments to your creations. LOVE them all & can't wait to get on home so we can learn to use some of our other things we( I ) keep hoarding ...That little cabin looks sooo good with the trees around it ... The die you used is the one I DON'T have !!! Guess I'll have to fix that soon.You did GREAT Ruth Ann !!!

Fabulous, Fabulous and more Fabulous Ruth Ann! LOVE your cards and your gorgeous quilt! I have five quilts started and not finished. ugh. 20 years ago when I started stamping, the quilts got left behind… bad Pam!!! oh, your cards are awesome scenes! Perfect! love how you designed with the trees in the background for Edwin. I have to remember this. These are my favorite kind of cards… you've probably noticed I don't do much with flowers… hehe I LOVE scenes! TFS Ruth Ann!
